Jupiter In Capricorn: Get Ready For The Bounce!

Jupiter is now at 15 degrees Capricorn. Over the next few months, Jupiter will be passing over the degrees that have been so strongly affected by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction this year. If the Saturn Pluto conjunction made trouble for you, will this be good news?

That almost depends on how you define “good news.” There has been a movement among astrologers in the last couple of decades to stop referring to planets or aspects as being either “good” or “bad.” I myself sometimes refer to squares and oppositions as “crunchy,” and trines and sextiles as “smooth.” In that spirit, I am going to refer to Jupiter’s upcoming activities as “bouncy.”

Think of a Jupiter transit as being like gluten. Gluten is a collection of proteins found in baked goods. It gives freshly baked bread and cupcakes and pancakes their delightfully springy quality. Yum!

Also, gluten seems to make a lot of people sick.

Certainly, if the Saturn-Pluto conjunction has been good for you, the upcoming Jupiter transit is likely to add a bonus round of prosperity and good luck. But suppose that conjunction has made trouble for you. Even though Jupiter is considered to be a good and happy planet, this transit may not work out all that well for you. Still, it’s likely to feel better then the actual Saturn-Pluto transit did.

For example, transiting Jupiter square your natal Moon might lead to a lot of disappointment or futile attempts to make yourself happier or feel better adjusted. That’s certainly better than Saturn and Pluto breaking your heart though, isn’t it?

So have a look at what placements in your birth chart were affected by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, and then look ahead from mid-march to mid-April, again in June and July, and one last time in November and December this year.

And then? Get ready for the bounce!
