Saturn Vs. Ariana Grande’s Love Life

When someone goes through a major break up, they are often given the advice that they should wait a while before getting involved with anyone else. That may not just be common sense general advice, it often has a sound astrological basis. Case in point: the unhappy upheavals in Ariana Grande’s love life thus far in 2018, thanks to transiting Saturn in Capricorn.

Ariana (born June 26th 1993, 9:16 p.m., Boca Raton Florida) has her Jupiter and Moon closely conjunct at 5 and 6 degrees respectively in Libra. This takes on particular significance when it comes to relationships, because the Moon is the ruler of Cancer, which is Ariana’s 7th House. In addition, Jupiter is the natural ruler of committed relationships. and both planets are closely square her natal Sun at 5 degrees Cancer, which is the ruler of her 8th House — her sex life. Those degrees in her birth chart have been under significant stress from transiting Saturn for all of this year.

In May, when Ariana broke up with longtime boyfriend Mac Miller, Saturn was retrograde at 8 degrees Capricorn: squaring her Moon and Jupiter and opposing her Sun. By the end of that month Ariana and Pete Davidson already had matching tattoos. This transit was still in effect in September when Mac committed suicide, when Saturn had finished its retrograde and head return to 3 degrees Capricorn.

Now that Saturn has finished its retrograde and is approaching 4 degrees Capricorn, Ariana and Pete Davidson have broken up. I’m sure but Ariana’s friends are likely giving her the standard advice about not getting involved too quickly with anyone too soon after a major break up. As an astrologer, I’m telling Ariana Grande this: stay out of the dating pool until at least February, for your own sake. that’s how long will it take for Saturn to finish the square to her Moon and Jupiter.
