The Saturn-Pluto Report: July 8-14, 2019

You probably already know what parts of your chart are affected by the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, but if you aren’t, CLICK HERE to visit the The Saturn-Pluto Bomb Shelter And Lounge on Facebook and we’ll figure it out!

The major aspects are what get our attention, but they never act on their own. It’s always a matter of the big stuff plus some small stuff. Think of it in terms of the old saying about “the straw that broke the camel’s back.” On the one hand, that’s clearly a pretty important straw. On the other hand, if that straw was all by itself the camel would never notice, right?

That’s more or less where we find ourselves this week. Transiting Sun in Cancer will be spending the week approaching the opposition to Pluto. Under normal circumstances an astrologer would be telling you things about people having increased insecurity issues and more of a need for comfort. That’s all true this week of course, but given the opposition to Saturn and Pluto? Those needs are sharp. They have teeth, and they will bite.

Normally you’d be able to talk your way through this, or think your way out of it. Unfortunately this is also the week that Mercury turns retrograde, so your logical faculties may not be as helpful as you’d like, Not that Mercury in Leo is known for its great gift of pure rationality in the first place…

If nothing else, Saturn trine Neptune is still in full effect. You may not be fully able to pray your problems away, but if you decide to do so, at least there’s a better-than-average chance the Universe will actually be listening.

And yes: given that the Sun is approaching the opposition to Pluto — that’s a reminder that the Lunar Eclipse is coming up, and that it will be closely conjunct Pluto. That will be a time when the already serious situation becomes more serious. Stay tuned everyone, and take care of yourselves.

Here’s when the Moon will be helping (or not):

Starting early in the morning (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, and carrying on throughout the day, the Moon will be in Libra. That’s normally a pretty pleasant time, but given that that the Moon will be square Saturn and Pluto, you might not find it at all comfortable.

Likewise, Scorpio does not have a reputation for particularly calm and peaceful. However this week on Thursday it will provide a little shelter from the storm.
