Jupiter At 29 Degrees Aquarius, And A Cat In A Sweater
Jupiter is now retrograde in the last degree of Aquarius. This is what we call the “anaretic degree,” and it is a particularly powerful place to be, even when a planet is retrograde. Jupiter represents your belief systems, so now might be the time to call some of your deeply-held beliefs into question. It may also be a time when your beliefs are challenged. Case in point: The cat in the sweater.
There is this ginger cat that wanders around my neighborhood. He doesn’t wear a collar or have a license, which is a requirement for outdoor cats where I live. He’s not scruffy, but I’ve never seen anyone take him in. Nonetheless I had assumed for the longest time he was a stray.
That is until yesterday, when I came across him wearing a sweater.
It seemed pretty obvious that stray cats do not put on sweaters by themselves. Furthermore, it was a pretty good fit for him, so I have to assume that it was made for him by someone who cared enough for him to actually make him a sweater.
But why would one do that? Especially in recent weather, when cats do not require fall and winter wardrobes?
Furthermore: This cat had never really bothered to pay much attention to me or approach me until he showed up with that sweater on. But yesterday he was quite vocal. I believe he was experiencing some sort of discomfort from wearing a wool sweater on a hot summer evening. But why wouldn’t he approach his owner? Did his owner intend for the cat to even get out wearing that thing? Does the cat’s owner have so much spare time that he or she has nothing better to do than to knit for their cat? Do I have the right to undress someone else’s cat?
And if the cat’s owner is letting the cat out, does he or she realize that this requires a license? Does he or she know that if the cat is picked up by the local animal control authorities, he or she will have to pay a fee and get a license anyway to get the cat back?
Does the owner not know this? Does the owner not care about the cat? If so, what’s with the sweater? Did someone put the sweater on the cat as some sort of a prank?
Jupiter will be in the last degree of Aquarius until August 6th. I think this would be a good time to re-evaluate your beliefs, because when Jupiter passes through this degree again in late December, you may be facing some questions about those beliefs.
Questions like: Do you really understand something as well as you think you do? Have you let your basic beliefs lead you astray and be selective with the “facts” you choose?
And what’s with the damn cat in the damn sweater anyway?
So. Many. Questions.
