Astrology And The Rise Of Skywalker, Part One: The Fandom Menace
In my latest podcast I have an interview with astrologer Samuel F. Reynolds (it was actually pretty good, click here if you haven’t heard it yet) in which (among other things) we talked about the role of objectivity when doing a reading. Although we were talking specifically about politics and astrology, much the same applies to doing readings for individuals.
This is one of the reasons why I encourage astrologers and students of astrology to avoid looking at their own charts and friends too hard, or at least get a reading from an objective outside observer. As I sometimes put it, even the world’s best surgeons don’t take out their own appendixes.
If you are having problems with your work, your partner, or your child, it’s far too easy to either see what you want to see in the transits, or see Certain Doom where there might not actually be any Certain Doom.
I find myself facing a similar situation right now.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big fan of Star Wars. If you have been following a certain phenomenon on YouTube called “The Fandom Menace,” you know by now that there have been extensive leaks about the storyline and production of the Rise Of Skywalker, which premieres next month. I won’t give away any potential spoilers, but I will tell you this: if half of the rumors going around are true, this movie could be terrible. Like, really terrible.
Drop by again here tomorrow when I will be looking at the birth charts of both the Disney corporation and that of Kathleen Kennedy, who is the Disney executive in charge of the Star Wars franchise. The transits to both charts, frankly, look kind of awful for the December 16th World Premiere date of The Rise Of Skywalker. Frankly, I’m worried. Very worried. Star Wars means a lot to me and I don’t want this film to suck.
These predictions may all get served up with a side order of “wow, Matthew has zero objectivity about Star Wars.” Or, maybe I’ll be right. Either way, we will know for sure in about a month.
