Astrology Of The July 2 Eclipse: Best Eclipse EVER?

Is it possible that this Eclipse could actually be good?

Well, maybe that’s a bit misleading. In theory, any astrological event isn’t “good” or “bad.” Sure, Eclipse Season can make for some frayed nerves, but that can lead people to make changes in their lives that they need. Mostly, people tend to be afraid of an Eclipse because Eclipses can trigger sudden and surprising events. What’s more: those events don’t usually happen that day. The Eclipses of any given Season tend to hover silently in the background of your birth chart until the next Season.

Having said that: I think I’ve found some real good in the July 2nd Eclipse, which happens at 10 degrees Cancer. First of all, the Sun-Moon conjunction only makes one major aspect: a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. That could make for some pretty powerful breakthroughs in your life. You need some of those, don’t you?

My favorite thing about this Eclipse, though? Any New Moon is an excellent time to sit down with yourself, think carefully about the changes you’d like to make in your life in the next month. And a Solar Eclipse is basically a New Moon with its volume turned up to eleven. That’s some real power for real change.

Also: let’s not forget that Eclipses do often bring the unexpected — but not all unexpected things are bad. So, relax. Take a deep breath. Then roll up your sleeves and do the work on your life that you need. This Eclipse will be more than willing to lend its muscle to your self-appointed assignment.

Besides: Eclipses travel in pairs, and the next Eclipse in July will feature a close conjunction between the Moon and Pluto. That’s potentially a lot more problematic for many of us. Don’t worry though: I’ll be back to talk you through that one too.
