Astrology: Why Anthony Hopkins Won The Oscar And Chadwick Boseman Didn’t
As predicted by myself here, and by many elsewhere, this year’s Oscars ceremony was kind of a bust. I came to that conclusion based on the astrology, but one thing that I didn’t foresee… and I don’t think anyone else did either… is how weirdly the ceremony would end.
Normally an Oscar ceremony ends with the announcement of the major acting winners, and then the last award handed out is for Best Picture. This year was different: Best Picture was announced before the major acting awards, with Best Actor coming last.
Why did they do it that way? It hasn’t been confirmed, but the general belief is that the late Chadwick Boseman was an almost guaranteed winner (for both his performance and sentimental reasons), and that would end the ceremony on a moving, emotional note.
Chadwick was born November 29, 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina. We don’t have a time of birth for Chadwick, so it’s hard to make full sense of his transits. Transiting Saturn was sextile his Neptune and trine his Pluto, and the transiting South Node was conjunct his natal Neptune.
None of those transits are actually bad, but there’s not a tremendous amount of decent transit activity otherwise.
Meanwhile, fellow nominee Anthony Hopkins (born December 31, 1937, 9:15 AM, Port Talbert, Wales) had transiting Jupiter square his Midheaven, and transiting Neptune trine his Midheaven. Sir Anthony is undergoing his Neptune opposition. He’s also having his Pluto opposition, with Pluto being the modern ruler of his Midheaven. The last Eclipse in December was almost exactly conjunct his natal Moon.
Thus: even if we didn’t know Anthony Hopkin’s time of birth, he’s have more big transits. So: he won.
As a result, the ceremony ended rather abruptly, with Anthony Hopkins being announced as the winner — and then the ceremony just ended. According to the rules for this year ceremony, Anthony wasn’t allowed to do a typical “Zoom meeting” type acceptance speech. This, despite the fact that he, a man in his mid-80s, was willing to stay up until late in the night to do so at his home in Wales.
So: an already peculiar award ceremony ended on a very strange note. And once again, this could’ve been avoided if someone in charge had hired an astrologer. Hey Hollywood, if you’re listening? I’m available…
