Carmen Salinas, beloved Mexican actress and politician, dead at 82

Salinas starred as the protagonist in more than 100 TV soap operas (i.e. telenovelas) and films. She later ventured into politics, serving as a Member of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies for the Institutional Revolutionary Party.
