Colorado radio host flooded with messages after O’Toole departure

For the past few days, a Colorado radio host has been busy replying to Canadians on Twitter. Her name is Erin O’Toole and often gets mistaken for the ousted Conservative leader. “When the news broke, I was getting a lot of messages saying, ‘good. Glad you’re out’ or ‘thank you and I will always support you’,” explained O’Toole. The radio host jokingly shared a post on Twitter after the Conservative leader’s departure Wednesday, saying she is “relieved for her Twitter mentions and sad that her incredible and unusual “relationship” with Canadians “may be coming to an end.” I’m trying to keep up but this is my phone in the last few minutes! O’Toole has over six thousand followers on Twitter. She says a lot of those happen to follow her because of the name mix-up. “It’s been nothing but a good thing, one hundred per cent. I have met so many incredibly generous people from Canada. I’ve learned so much about, not only Canadian Politics but the fun things about life in Canada. The fun candy that you guys have and we don’t have here in the U.S.” said O’Toole. Colorado radio host Erin O’Toole. I did not know much at all about how elections are run in Canada for example. I even had the opportunity to meet the Canadian Erin O’Toole in 2020.” While this Twitter confusion might be over for Erin O’Toole, American actress Candice Bergen could soon suffer the same consequences. Her Twitter twin is the newly elected Conservative interim leader Candice Bergen. And here’s a piece of advice from Erin O’Toole. “I don’t take it personally; I know they’re not talking to me.” O’Toole and Bergen aren’t the only Americans who share the same names with Canadian politicians. ‘Regina Mayor’, an energy expert based in Houston and the other Virginia ‘Jason Kenney.’
