Good News! Mars Enters Scorpio! No Really… It’s Good News!

Mars enters Scorpio on Tuesday, and stays there until January 3rd, 2020. The very phrase “Mars in Scorpio” is the sort of thing that can make the under-informed quiver a bit. After all, Mars is all about violence and scary stuff, right? And of course Scorpio was voted as “Sign most likely to have a super-villain named after it.” Put the two of them together and it’s easy to see a possible outbreak of Zombie Apocalypse before New Year’s Eve, or something like that.

This is, like most radical oversimplifications, is nonsense.

Libra is (very generally) considered to be all about interpersonal harmony and people getting along. Having said that, if you’ve never met a Libra who can occasionally be a maniac about something or other, you need to meet more Libras.

Mars in Scorpio is considered to be a strong place for Mars to be, since Mars is the traditional ruler of that Sign. if you are afraid of the things that Mars rules, that probably sounds pretty scary. The truth, though? You couldn’t live without Mars. Mars rules iron, and without the iron-based hemoglobin in your blood, you’d die in a matter of moments.

Mars in Libra, on the other hand? It has a reputation for not knowing what it really wants and not really knowing how to get it. That’s an oversimplification of course. This time around though? Mars in Libra was facing difficult aspects from Saturn, Pluto, and the Nodes for most of its run. It was easy to see how Mars in Libra (this time at least) could be a bad thing.

Mars in Scorpio 2019-2020 should be pretty good, overall. It will be receiving positive aspects from those same placements mentioned above, plus a trine from Neptune. And with the Saturn-Pluto conjunction continuing to approach its exact degree? We could use all the stable Mars energy to get through things that we can get.

Oh, but: you’re going to notice that as far as temper and agitation, that the next couple of weeks will provide plenty of it. That’s not because Mars is in Scorpio, but because Mars in Scorpio is opposite Uranus in Taurus. But, honest! Overall, Mars in Scorpio is going to be a good thing! Drop by next time and I’ll give you all the details…
