In Praise Of Sun In Leo

Hey Leo! It’s always awesome when you show up, and let me tell you why…

Like all the other Signs, there are certain stereotypes about you guys. Like all stereotypes of any kind, then tend to come a place that may be broadly, statistically true… but you should never apply those broad strokes to all them individuals involved. Nonetheless, here’s my experience with the Big Ol’ Kitties:

-Are Leos loving and affectionate?

Oh, totally. And unlike other cats in my experience, you aren’t just doing it because your food dish is close to empty. When a Leo is loving with you, it’s because they mean it.

-Do Leos have Big Egos?

You might be surprised, but the answer is “no.” Okay, actually, it’s more like “guilty with an explanation,” and here’s why: The Sun itself. Leo is the only Sign ruled by The Sun. Yes, The Sun is “The Ego” in astrology. But we tend to think of “Ego” in negative terms. Your Ego is just the part of you that recognizes that you are YOU. Without it, you’d starve to death without realizing who was hungry. Besides, “the Ego” is where a lot of affection comes from… and you gotta fuel that thing. So yes, Leo: you may need your strokes a little more than most, but you give good value for it.

-Are Leos a lot of fun?

Well, duh. Yeah.

-Isn’t there a downside to that?

Well, sometimes. But it is a mistake to assume that everyone who faces obstacles with good cheer and optimism isn’t taking things seriously. Oh and also, sometimes you guys maybe (just maybe) take the wrong things seriously. But hey… no one is perfect, and you often have an ability to recognize your flaws and then laugh them out of existence. That’s a real gift if you think about it.

-But Leo has depth too, right?

Of course. No need to be insecure about that.

-Will there be a party now?

Certainly. Would you have it any other way, Leo?
