Nicki Minaj And Cardi B Are Not Compatible

If you go by standard issue Sun Sign astrology, Libra and Sagittarius are considered to be “compatible Signs.” So if Cardi B is a Libra and Nicki Minaj is a Sagittarius, why do they so clearly hate each other?

As you may already know, astrology is a lot more complicated than just where the Sun was on the day you were born. Of all of the planets responsible for a person’s temper, Mars is far and away the most important. And, as you might imagine, both Nicki and Cardi have very problematic Mars placements.

First of all, their Mars placements are in opposite Signs. Cardi has hers in Cancer and Nikki’s Mars is in Capricorn. That’s isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker when it comes to a typical relationship, but it can make tempers more likely to flare up and harder to manage.

Furthermore, in both charts Mars is in a relatively stressful place. Nicki’s Mars forms a close square aspect to her Saturn and Pluto, which would make her a fierce creature under the best of circumstances. Nikki’s Mars is on her Ascendant, which is the part of your chart that represents what people see and experience about you first. In other words, her strongly aspected Mars literally has nowhere to hide. Combine that with the “open mouth” policy most Sagittarians have and you get… well, you get Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, Cardi’s Mars is opposite her Uranus and Neptune, which makes her urge to fight unusual and energetic — and more than a little bit unpredictable. Her Mars is also square her Sun in Libra and that can create a great deal of tension. This explains the kind of temper that would make a Libra throw an expensive shoe at someone… and Libra’s aren’t normally in the habit of throwing away pretty and expensive things on a whim.
