“Bad” Planets, Good Results: Moon In Capricorn, Moon In Scorpio

The Moon is the emotional powerhouse in your birth chart. Arguably, it’s as important to you as your Sun Sign. The Moon rules Cancer, and is exalted in Taurus. In theory that makes one of those two Signs the best place for your Moon to be.

This also implies that the Signs opposite those, Capricorn and Scorpio, are the worst place for your Moon to be. If you go by some sources, Moon in Capricorn or Scorpio can be a disaster. If Moon in Cancer is caring and nurturing, then Moon in Capricorn must be stiff and uncaring. If Moon in Taurus is loving and sensual, then Moon in Scorpio must be vicious.

Yeesh. That’s some astrology abuse right there.

The truth is that there is no Moon placement that is inherently more or less caring or spiteful or nurturing or indifferent than any other — what Sign the Moon is in, however, influences how it is expressed.

Moon in Capricorn cares about things every bit as much as Moon in Cancer. However unlike Moon in Cancer, Capricorn does a better job of playing its cards close to the vest. Why? Because on some level or another, Moon in Capricorn always realizes it has something of great value — and things of great value need to be protected.

Moon in Scorpio gets dumped on a lot too. Like Moon in Capricorn, it has a lot to give but that naturally leads to a little defensiveness. Scorpio is all about the intensity. Anyone with any Moon Sign can either love you or hate you or be indifferent, but the glorious thing about Moon in Scorpio is it there’s absolutely no guesswork involved when it comes to knowing how it feels about you.

Got that? Good. Come back soon and I’ll tell you what you’re all getting wrong about Venus in Aries, Virgo, and Scorpio.
