Sofia Vergara’s Pluto Problem

You might think that simply being Sofia Vergara is enough to guarantee some kind of peace and stability and happiness in your life. That might normally be the case, until a Pluto transit comes along.

Sophia (born July 10th 1972, time unknown Barranquilla Colombia) has a Sun Moon conjunction in Cancer. Her Sun is at 18 degrees Cancer, and although we cannot be precise about the placement of the Moon without a time of birth, it’s pretty close to that point too.

Both those points are square her natal Uranus in Libra and square her natal Chiron in Aries. Based on this alone, we may assume that there is more pain and trauma in her background then we see it first glance. Having a brother dying mere months after her birth is one possible manifestation of this combination. Another brother of hers was deported from the United States in 2011, due in part to legal issues and a long-time drug addiction.

Despite her tremendous success in Hollywood, transiting Pluto has been opposite her Sun and Moon and square her Uranus and Chiron for a couple of years now. During this time she broke off her engagement with Nick Loeb and went on to marry True Blood star Joe Manganiello.

But as you may know, Pluto’s time at about the two thirds point of Capricorn has a long way to go yet, and it will be joined by Saturn in early 2020. It’s perhaps only then that her bizarre ongoing legal dispute with Nick Loeb might finally be resolved. You see, the two of them at one point planned to have children, and in fact they still have two fertilized embryos now frozen in a California Clinic. Jeff is currently fighting Sofia for sole custody of the embryos, going so far as to give them names and to change his legal address to Louisiana, which is a jurisdiction that looks much more favorably upon so-called pro-life issues. There is no clear sign that Loeb will ever win — but many suggest he’s keeping it up just to make Sofia miserable.

So: even if you are loved by millions and you are the highest paid woman on television, there is no escaping the effects of a Pluto transit.
